Clamcleat Ltd. was founded in 1965 in the UK. The company revolutionized the sailing hardware market by introducing a unique cleat design with a proportional grip, eliminating the need for knots. The first model was created in 1963 from two pieces of Perspex, which, when joined, formed a grooved surface to hold the rope. In 1964, the first nylon model was produced, and the Clamcleat trademark was registered. Today, the range includes over 125 models of cleats made from plastic and aluminum, used in sailing, windsurfing, and various industrial applications. All products are designed and manufactured in the UK, ensuring high quality and full control over every stage of production.
